Install a SketchUp extension
SketchUp extensions ship as a signed <code>.rbz</code> file and install through the Extension Manager in two clicks.
Requirements
- SketchUp 2021 – 2026
- Windows or macOS
- SketchUp Pro (extensions do not run in the free web version)
Steps
- Download the
.rbz. Do not rename or unzip it. - In SketchUp, open Extensions → Extension Manager.
- Click Install Extension and pick the file.
- Accept the signed-extension prompt.
- Activate from the extension’s toolbar, with your licence key.
Worth knowing
Our extensions are signed through Trimble’s Extension Signing Portal. If your loading policy is set to “Identified Extensions Only”, signed extensions install normally — unsigned ones from anywhere would be refused.
If something goes wrong
Extension Manager refuses the file
The .rbz was probably unpacked by the browser or renamed to .zip. Download it again and leave the extension exactly as .rbz.
The toolbar disappeared after an update
SketchUp remembers toolbar visibility per version. Re-enable it from View → Toolbars.
